Fleetwood Hall Care Home, Southport have their own minibus meaning they are able to go out on regular day trips to various locations throughout the North West. Most recently, this included a trip to Torbary Woods in Leyland which is an Owl and Birds of Prey Sanctuary which homes a collection of over 90 birds of prey such as eagles, hawks and falcons all of which are based in an open air woodland setting.
Those who were brave enough held the eagles and hawks whilst learning about the habits and backgrounds of these wild animals. The rehabilitation centre also has flying displays which shows just how magnificent these birds of prey are!
Days such as these are enjoyed by all, particularly those who have an interest in wildlife and nature. It is important to us that we cater for all interests and hobbies when organising events we are always looking for new innovative ways to provide an exciting, stimulating environment.
One of our Residents wanted to go on the swings, he could have stayed for hours!
